    My love for working with children began at a young age and continues today.  In 1997, I completed my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Development and soon thereafter I started my own daycare. I provided this service to the community for 8 years before I went on to work as a preschool teacher for an additional 6 years.

    I began my teaching career at Dundee.  After retiring from Dundee, I knew I wasn’t done working with children.  My passion is to help students succeed in school.  This lead me to my position here at BD.  I came to BD in 2016, to work in the School Success Program.  I am now the Literacy Coach.  This position gives me the opportunity to work with the teachers and the students.  My goal is to make all students successful readers!
